Il progetto Borracce di poesia nasce nel 2007. Unendo due passioni: la bicicletta e la poesia. Le quartine - tutte scritte dall'autore - raccontano il mondo visto dalla bici, con particolare attenzione verso il ciclista urbano. Versi che vengono così, in sella alla bicicletta. Dedicati a chi, semplicemente, pedala.
Un'idea che coniuga la tradizione del gesto poetico del pedalare - evocando il ciclismo d'altri tempi - con quello che la bici rappresenta nelle scelte contemporanee di mobilità.
La borraccia che in bici si usa per bere, qui porta una poesia.
Le Borracce di poesia sono lette e distribuite in appuntamenti dedicati alla mobilità in bici. Il progetto Borracce di poesia è rivolto a enti, associazioni, soggetti pubblici e privati, senza dimenticare i relativi utenti, tutti impegnati nel rendere l'uso della bici un tratto dominante dell'ambiente cittadino. L'uso della poesia può essere veicolo per creare una cifra stilistica nell'arredo urbano, in cui i cittadini possano riconoscersi, sentendosi così parte integrante di un nuovo modo di vivere la città.

The project Borracce di poesia (“Water-bottles of poetry”) was born in 2007. By uniting two passions: bicycling and poetry. The poems, written by the submitting author, deal with urban aspects of cycling. Originality lies in the presentation: the poems are inserted in
bike water-bottles. The idea unifies the tradition of the poetic gesture of biking, by recalling old days cycling, to the bike as the contemporary mean of choice for urban mobility.
The project has been presented in Italy in a number of events organized by bodies and associations interested in improving the liveability of towns through the use of bikes.
The project aims at engaging the whole range of city stakeholders: bodies, associations, etc., as well as the end-users (citizens) in making the use of bikes a common dominant trait of city-life. Poetry can work as a vehicle to create a style in public street furniture in which citizens can recognize themselves and feel like a core part of a new way of experiencing the city.
